Welcome to the 2018 Pontiac Power Week!  This year's line-up of events began on August 11 with Roadkill Nights presented by Dodge at the M1 Concourse, which was a rousing success for Pontiac, Dodge, and M1.  Pontiac Power Week continues Friday, August 17 through Saturday (official Woodward Dream Cruise day!,) August 18 in the City’s downtown core.

Pontiac Power Week 2018 introduces the addition of Art on Wheels and the Pontiac Power Week Classic Drive-in, a food stop where cruisers can order from delicious restaurants and have their orders delivered to their cars by the Detroit Roller Derby Girls.  Morgan Evans, Billboard country music star, will be on hand courtesy of Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort to open the weekend activities on Friday at 8:30 p.m.  A full day of Power Week fun will take place on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. through 10:00 p.m.

PPW is reprising its traditional elements including The Classic Car Show, festive local food, and curated live music from open to close both Friday and Saturday.  The northbound lane of Saginaw will again be open to Cruisers on Saturday and WWJ Radio 950 will be on air with its live traffic reports.  As always, there is no admission charge to the festival, thanks to sponsors like Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, Flagstar Bank, St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, M1 Concourse, and Advanced Disposal.  Click here for a complete list of sponsors.

“Pontiac residents, businesses, and community partners have shown great enthusiasm for the new programming,” says Dr. Deirdre Waterman, Mayor.  “The push to Saginaw north of Huron is a component we are thrilled to include, and it is the direct result of the business community’s input.  I am also pleased to announce the return of the Pontiac Music Festival on September 22 at the Flagstar Strand Theatre.  Morris Day & the Time will headline the evening, along with a new line-up of Pontiac talent to open the show.  Pontiac residents should look for information on this website in the next few days on how to register for free tickets.” Waterman concludes.
